How do I qualify to buy a CLT home?
Sawmill CLT homes are available to low and moderate income, first-time homebuyers. Anyone who has not owned a home within the last three years qualifies as a first-time homebuyer. CLT homebuyers should have minimal monthly debt, have some money saved for a downpayment, and demonstrate a stable employment history.
Low-income homebuyers are eligible for subsidy assistance which reduces the mortgage amount needed to buy a CLT home. For example, a home priced at $125,000 with $25,000 subsidy available would require a mortgage of less than $100,000.
