Staff Biographies:

Connie Chavez, Executive Director

Connie has over 15 years experience in administrative management for non-profit organizations. Connie has been with SCLT since 2003, was appointed Associate Director in 2004 and Executive Director in October, 2005. She was the Portfolio Manager/Information Systems Manager for the New Mexico Community Development Loan Fund, a state-wide loan fund for small business and non-profit groups. She grew up in the Sawmill/Wells Park Neighborhood and holds both a historical perspective and a future vision for the area. She is the mother of two lovely daughters, and three very special granddaughters.   |contact|map|

Debbra Colman, Real Estate Development Director

Debbra has over 20 years experience in real estate development across the country. In 1994 she became state director of Bank of America's real estate department, and, in 2000, she joined the Historic District Improvement Company as their Executive Project Manager. Debbra was in charge of the design, construction and leasing of the downtown Century 14 Theatre block.   |contact|map|

RobbieAnn Muhammad, Homebuyer Counselor

RobbieAnn is a native to Albuquerque, she has 3 children and previously worked in the Real Estate industry. Her primary clientele as a Realtor was first time home buyers within the low to moderate income levels. As the Albuquerque Real Estate market was changing quite dramatically she saw that there were not many options available for these clients. The opportunity to serve the people within this range of income and still sell houses really excited her. She is proud to be a member of the Sawmill Community Land Trust staff and community and hopes to be a part of it for many years.   |contact|map|

Betsy Najjar, Membership Coordinator

Betsy is a leaseholder of the Sawmill Community Land Trust and has been active in neighborhood groups and governance since 1997. She has an M.F.A. from the University of New Mexico and has lived in Albuquerque 20 years. Betsy oversees SCLT membership development, the Newsletter, the website and coordinates much of SCLT's participation in community events.   |contact|map|

Vicente Quevedo, Community Organizer

Pam Riley, Operations Director

Pam has over 20 years experience in community development programs with an emphasis in planning, community reinvestment, and affordable housing. She has a Masters Degree in Community and Regional Planning and has worked in senior management positions including technical assistance, small business development and fundraising.   |contact|map|
